About Us
Who’s Who

Anne Shiner, Montessori teacher
Anne Shiner grew up in Derbyshire and spent the majority of her childhood in the countryside, surrounded by animals. She has a BSc and MSc in Environmental Science from Salford University and has worked as a Farm Interpretation Officer at the Open University; at the Soil Survey of England and Wales researching nitrates in soil and in the Water Industry analysing drinking water for pesticides. She also owned a Dutch pancake house in Bristol for 10 years as well as working as an Outreach Worker for STAR, a Bath-based charity that promotes multi-cultural awareness in educational settings for the Under 8’s.
In 2004, Anne trained at Norland College, Bath and has since worked as an Early Years Montessori Teacher. Anne has now completed Montessori training for the primary aged child (6-12 year olds.)
Anne has a deep love and interest in the natural world and wants to pass on the opportunity for the next generation to make that connection too!  Anne has an enhanced CRB certificate and Paediatric First Aid certificate.

Anne's husband, Craig Smith, works with teenagers with mental health issues for the NHS in Bristol and has his own Counselling Practice. Craig has worked in the past with the younger age group and enjoys being involved with the children at KleinKinder. He has singer/songwriting talents and is able to share these with the children. Their particular favourite is The Barnyard Dance!
